History:

Whilst over the years, several other teams have borne the name New Brighton, the present team dates back fairly recently, to just 1993.

New Brighton, were to get off to a good start, after kicking off, initially in the Birkenhead & Wirral League. They won the Division 1 title, losing just one game, and the Reserve team finished Runners Up in the 2nd division that same First season.

In the 1994/95 campaign both teams finished as runners-up in their respective divisions as well as in their divisional cup competitions.

In 1995, New Brighton switched to the South Wirral League, this proved to be a fruitful move, and in their first season they finished second in the league, and went on to appear in the Final of the Wirral Amateur Cup, only to lose out to Heswall on penalties.
Their disappointment though was short-lived, as the Reserve side went on to claim the Wirral Junior Cup, to add to their Concorde Division One league title.

In 1996 their ground at Harrison Park was upgraded and the First team gained West Cheshire Division 2 status, promotion was missed on goal difference in that first season. The Reserves did well to end up mid-table in the South Wirral League's top division.

1997/98 saw cup joy as the Wirral Amateur Cup was won, with the semi-finals of the Cheshire Amateur Cup also reached. But league form slipped. The Reserve Team had another good season when finishing fourth.

For 1998/99 the two sides operated in the West Cheshire League. The First Team occupied fourth place and were runners-up in the West Cheshire Bowl and the Reserves achieved a respectable placing in Division Three.

1999/2000 proved a disappointment with both the teams slipping down into mid-table whilst the newly formed Under 14 side had a similar outcome.

2001/02 was a repeat of a year earlier, 2001/02 whilst the First Team achieved another mid-table finish the Reserves tasted cup success, a West Cheshire Shield triumph, and attained a high placing in Division Three. The Under 16's took the Challenge Cup to end in fine style their association with the junior ranks.

2002/03 the reserves retained the West Cheshire Shield.

2004/05 season proved a pivotal year, as the First team gained promotion to Division one after winning the Div 2 Championship, losing just two games all season.

2005/06 season saw the Reserves finish runners-up in the third division and duly promoted to the second division. Their Youth team joined the newly formed West Cheshire Youth Division.

In season 2006/07 they became the Cheshire Amateur Cup winners defeating Heswall 3-0 at Vauxhall Motors.
