History:

Maghull were founded in 1921, and Situated 8 miles North of Liverpool on the main A59 Preston Road, they played their home games at Deyes Lane, just one mile away from their present Old hall Lane ground.   Maghull were proudly one of the founder members of the North West Counties League, with which they have recently ended a 17 year association.   Maghull are Newcomers to the West Cheshire League Division 1, joining for the first time in the 1999-2000 season.

Maghull, were N.W. Counties Division 2 Champions, as recently as 1993, and also boast a host of other silverware such as, Liverpool County Amateur Cup, Liverpool County Challenge Cup, Lancashire Amateur Cup, Lancashire Combination Challenge Cup, Liverpool County Combination League Winners, Liverpool I Zingari League & Cup winners, Bass North West Counties Division Two Winners and Lamot Pils Trophy Runners up.

Following a fire in 1991, which destroyed their dressing rooms and Clubhouse, Maghull erected a new building, which now houses fine dressing rooms and a comfortable Lounge Bar.

The Club are eagerly run by an active committee, most of whom are ex-players, and they have a real stalwart in secretary, Danny Sherlock, who has served the club in that role for over thirty years.
