History:

General Chemicals F.C. were reformed in 1964, with the sole aim of gaining entry into the West Cheshire League.

Extra facilities were built in order to meet the necessary requirements.   Later developments included perimeter fencing, and in 1989, Floodlights were erected and an official opening took place with a game against a F.A. XI.

The clubs most prolific season was 1988-89 when they won the Cheshire Amateur Cup, the Runcorn Challenge Cup, and the Mid Cheshire FA Cup.    These victories enabling them to represent Cheshire in the Northern Counties Championship in which they were closely beaten Semi-finalists.

Other honours include West Cheshire Division 1 Runners Up and Pyke Cup Winners as well as a hoard of silverware taken in local Runcorn and District competitions.   The club have also entered the F.A. Vase and Cheshire Senior Cup, pitting their skills against much tougher opposition.

With Division Two success recently, they once again join West Cheshire Division One.

General Chemicals played at Picow Farm Road from season 2000/01 before moving back to the Pavilions Complex in season 2002/03.

General Chemicals returned to Picow Farm Road in season 2004/05. They became known as Halton in season 2005/06

Halton won the West Cheshire Bowl on penalties in season 2006/07 at Manweb.
