Castrol were previously called Rivarcre Rossfield but decided to change their name. Castrol originally started off in the West Cheshire league Division 2 way back in 1989 and weren't promoted to the first Division until the 2001 - 02, as runners up in league 2 the season before. Since Castrol were promoted to Division 1 their highest finish was 8th place back in 2002 - 03 season. In season 2003-04 they battled all season to keep out of the relegation zone 13th at the mid way point it was only after a late rally that saw them finish in 14th place. Grounds Inspection Report
