They played their home games at the Oval pitches 2 and 4. They were lucky enough to gain a sponsorship by L'Oriel Restaurants who bought them their first blue and white strip. Their second season saw a change of manager with a host of new players coming in as well, they gained some more sponsorship by Kelly Sports, but continued to struggle in the league going down to frequent heavy defeats. Since those early days they have progressed considerably, moving to a new home at the Wirral Rugby Club, where they stayed for several years. In 2001/02 Beb Ath were pressing for promotion and had headed the table but they just lost out to Sutton Black Lion for the second place and went down 1-0 to the Acorn in the final of the League Trophy. Despite this they were promoted to the top division of the South Wirral AFL and came third at the end of the 2002-3 season In 2004 the League Title was won, together with the Cup, beating Pavilions at Capenhurst after being taken to extra time. Their application for West Cheshire status was turned down owing to unsatisfactory facilities at the Wirral Rugby Club. Because of that and for financial reasons, Beb returned to the Oval for season 2004-5. That year saw the club absorb Mersey Park Youth under their banner. In spring of 2005 the Saturday team moved to Leverhulme fields to enhance its West Cheshire application. This was to prove a master stroke, as election to West Cheshire Division 3 was finally secured at the West Cheshire AGM, on the 8th June 2005, a momentus day for a club making great strides. In their 2nd season in the West Cheshire League they won the 3rd Division
and were promoted to the 2nd Division for season 2007/08
